Assuming there will be 10 billion people around the globe, how much budget will be needed per year to provide every person three healthy meals per day, monthly, yearly ?
Whatever that is will most probably be made possible if about 10,000 enlightened people work for such provisions with the facilitation of government in the form of peace and order, annual budget for the next 10 to 50 years, and accurate forecasting of conservative results. The impact will only be felt probably starting sometime on the 10th year from the date all 10,000 launch the first salvo of management and leadership by examples towards the fulfilment of a dream...what we call the salvation of mankind from mass poverty. In fact, we should not aim for just food, clothing, and shelter. Let us aim for the upliftment of all fellowmen in terms of body, mind, and spirit. That can be done along with the victory over material poverty.
How did I arrive at that estimate ?
From actual performance of a project, I was able to deliver what the mind conceived to be a projected growth from utilizing my subsistence budget to the development of a program expected to flourish in coming years, probably by the 10th year or even earlier and onwards to the 50th year . The value of output was computed arithmetically to reach about $ 60 million by the 50th year. But that was only with just a year and a half of work. And so, what more if there will be government support ?
One man can manage perhaps a dozen other people who can be guided to do just that --- work for the common good of the world, and make that work output visible and obviously productive by the 10th year.
Therefore, 10,000 X $ 720 million potential output per year of work, or $ 72 Trillion target potential output per year...but not yet clearly productive until the 10th year onwards. $ 72 Trillion is actually the future value on the 50th year. However, it is only for just one year of work. Get the present value of that amount and discover it will be nonetheless substantial each year. Come to think of it, that would increase per capita income by only an average of $ 7,200 per year if equally distributed to 10 billion people.
The assumption is that every country and every location within a country has something to consider as a resource that can be developed to meet needs of more people. There is such a thing as resources wherein a group can have competitive advantage over another location, such that multiplying the resources will tend to benefit that group.

From my viewpoint, it is not only possible, it is in fact realistic to say that there are literally thousands of industries worth developing. Some countries can focus on propagating specific meat products like cows, goats, lambs, and name the numerous edible meat convertible into food for human beings. Other countries can specialize in propagating the various species of fish that human beings utilize for whatever beneficiary purposes. How many kinds of fish species do we have ? A lot.
I chose to produce over a thousand trees --- fruit trees and quality wood supply trees. If my resources did not limit the extent of land that I could plant on and the number of people I could employ for the purpose of converting more idle lands into productive land with high value natural resources, I would have reached over 20 hectares by now.
You might want to propagate another variety of trees. Compute its future value.
The more accurate way of deciding which natural resource to harness and develop is by consulting top planners of our world for the survival of our world. That brings us to having people with clear minds that can identify opportunities for utilization of resources in the near future. I believe in manpower organization. People ought to know what to work on and towards what direction, why, where and when. People have to be trained for their specific missions. Thus, there will also be a need to include the training stages in the budget for the development of people and resources. Feasibility Studies will minimize failures and errors in funding future-less endeavors.
Did it ever occur to you that the Solar Power is one of those untapped major resources for energy and agricultural developments ? Is this not also true for the Wind Power and the power of the vast waters ? Yet most see the solar power, wind power,and ocean power more as problems than sources of opportunities...simply because there have been minimal means for their development so that man will be greatly benefitted.
When governments step into the picture, progress will be better facilitated for the advancement of more people.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE PRESENT INITIATIVES AND THAT OF 10,000 GREAT MEN'S MISSION
There is nothing wrong with providing for a family or for specific organizations or simply for one's self. In fact, everybody should strive to be self-reliant. But we have to face the reality that we have fellowmen and women who struggle in their lives for basic means of survival. And recent climate changes have caused so many people to become homeless or jobless or even deprived of a breadwinner due to tragic circumstances.
If there are people blessed with provisions over and above all needs and luxuries, they should also focus on coming to the aid of those who have not. It is best for such people to be well organized in doing so. Hence, the first difference is the initiative towards a common organized effort to overcome what many consider as humanity's modern time menace...poverty of the masses. People should not just think about the root causes. There ought to be solutions. Very often, at present, we see some organizations engaged in fund raising with the hope of raising the means to maintain social workers who can extend mercy. Are we to encourage more fund raising and develop a mendicant society that promotes more mendicants ? Leadership does not mean a group of lazy people who are able to engage in fund raising and showing not much accomplishments except fund raising. That is not leadership. That is laziness and a weak way of becoming socially involved in the present time.
I am foreseeing people with the genuine Will to help those in need. A time will come when such people will be organized first, become committed for short-term to long-term feasible projects aimed at uplifting the less privileged and utilizing good examples of productive work, employing people who are unemployed yet willing to work, then persisting to achieve targets to the best of their effort. That will make the difference between the present and the future undertaking. As a result, they can speak of good news rather bad news all the rest of their lives.

PLANNING, ORGANIZING, COMMUNICATING, DIRECTING, CONTROLLING, IMPLEMENTING, AND IMPROVING
The management of resources starts with identifying what and who should be tapped for the noble purpose of adopting a mission. Rule out corrupt officials and characters with track record of exploiting weaknesses of other people to benefit their own advancements. It looks easy. In a country where the poor have grown poorer while the rich pursued no more than their own enrichment at the expense of respecting the rights of their fellowmen, we will be able to eliminate the "wolves dressed in lambskin". It is not that they will be removed from society, but that they should be considered incapable of suddenly changing into Good Samaritans while the facts show they have chosen the path of greed and a vocation of lifetime self-upliftment regardless of who gets trampled on. At best, they should pay their taxes diligently and accurately.
People with super abundant idle properties....assets that do not even provide for employment and productivity....specially those who, inspite of their massive wealth, continue to hoard more and more resources that become idle for so many years --- cannot serve in such an organization, at least not among the planners and organizers of that noble mission.
Financing righteous people should not be a problem, if only governments realize the need for such an organization of people who can and will commit themselves to the task of leading less privileged citizens towards overcoming multiple problems in their lives. The demoralized, oppressed, downtrodden, hungry, lazy, uneducated should be given positive opportunities to live decent lives. Who can show genuine compassion for them except those who can somehow realize that it is not enough to be self-fulfilled on this earth. Many other people who have not tasted well-compensated effort to work well with even simple jobs also deserve their share of the good life.
I believe there are benevolent and honest characters in our world. They are probably hidden from publicity because the same people know the value of virtues like humility, simplicity, industry, and eventually being rewarded by the Almighty. Those who have tried to utilize media to paint a good image of themselves for the sake of political power, popularity, fame, or greater profits --- should not mislead us. For the truth is more than what they claim to be. And claims are subject to verifications, assessments, and judgement.
A successful selection of truly good people on this earth who should also be qualified for a challenging lifetime work will then trigger the creation of a high potential organization dedicated to generate a series of productive endeavors for mass employment of the less privileged ( the unemployed) in their respective countries.
Thereafter, we can start hoping that the only way for poverty to prevail is when these 10,000 great men will do nothing.
It does not mean the ordinary citizens may do nothing or relax and do whatever they want to do. Where there are good models or examples in society, more people can change towards becoming like their role models. Nowadays, ladies have Bold Stars for their models. Young men are confused about who are in fact the models they should follow, when they see their leaders accused of graft and corruption, or leaders who do nothing with their wealth to mend the wounded beggar nearby, or those who are able tio employ people but also abuse their rights to the detriment of the health of their workers or ignore the rights of heads of the family to have time with their family just so their companies can generate more profits. People are indeed surrounded by lawless characters who cannot truly be good models of society. We can easily observe those who are already blessed with abundance still asking for more, while you also see them barely helping other people progress.
Here is a challenging question to each and every one ? Who are your top 10 role models ? And ask yourself why they should be considered as such ?

HOW MUCH TO FUND POTENTIALLY GREAT MEN ?
A reading from the Book of Wisdom says that "Many are called but very few are chosen." This brings us to the suggestion about the need to be more conservative in estimating end results. Assume therefore that out of one hundred people who are given the mission to overcome poverty in their respective area, only one (1) will achieve the target. We re-calculate and can arrive at the more conservative starting point of this major mission-- 100 x 10,000 = 1,000,000 potentially great men at the starting line. In a population of 10 billion by the time deadline is reached, we are dealing with 1 out of 10,000 people or 0.001 % .
It is like observing with the microscope. One catalyst in 10,000. We do not know who among the catalysts will consistently deliver results from the short to the long run. And the reasons for failure will be varied.
If today the average cost of maintaining the initiatives of one potential leader for such a mission is $ 2,000/mo. each plus the initial investment of $100,000 for the special project of 12 persons under each leader inclusive of materials to be used for the first year alone, plus a budget of $ 1,000/mo. for the payroll of each of the 12 General Managers under each Leader, how much will be the required budget at the start and for the next 10 years ?
My calculator shows $ 24 billion/year for the Leaders ; $ 144 billion for the General Managers ; and $ 100 billion initial budget for materials and supplies to invest. The first year requires $ 268 B. This will fund a total of 12,000,000 General Managers and 1,000,000 Leaders inclusive of payroll and materials investments.
In 10 years of persistently producing results in the form of developed resources for the food, clothing, and shelter requirements of our world, e.g. in number of useful trees successfully grown and maintained, or animals propagation, or whatever will be needed for the survival and growth of our world ( like number of skilled / educated manpower ) ....it will require about $ 2.68 Trillion. Leaders earn double because they have to also manage 12 GMs while attending to their own Special Project to serve as role model for the 12. Furthermore, leaders should be responsible for the security and well-being of 12 GMs, aside from making sure each one of them delivers desired results.
Who will assess the leaders ? There should be a Philantrophic Board of Evaluators made up of highly educated, honest, and objective characters who ought to audit actual performance to protect the investments of the funding governments. They should not be politicians to eliminate the possibility of graft and corruption to hide actual findings. People who uphold the truth ought to be the evaluators.

Coincidentally, because of the availability of Feasibility Studies & Project Studies prior to launching of each mission, it will be easy for financial institutions to evaluate whether or not they can extend funds to be guaranteed by governments. Those tied up with land and plantations are obviously attractive. In case of failures, they have a way of recovering the equivalent of funds extended. However, if the organization of leaders are well orchestrated or are working in harmony with each other, the same attraction to financial institutions can make them extend the necessary financial facilities.
For example, a leader who decides to propagate lots of meat products can have the end products processed and canned. Other leaders can project orders long before a plan is implemented. Thus, there will be sure buyers. The risk becomes far less than most businesses experience. That new set of products will have definite export values.

REFLECTIONS ABOUT WHO SHOULD QUALIFY FOR THE CHANCE TO SERVE A NOBLE PURPOSE
Probably, people so concerned about the spiritual being of people will claim that the priority should be spiritually inclined characters. That might not be true. It is written, many will say Lord, Lord....I made miracles in your name...prayed so much...and yet here comes judgement day where the Lord himself says, "Away from me...I do not know you..." The concern was apparently not according to God's Will to have man DO His Will which is to help mankind with the life available for service. An alleged spiritual man may have been dedicating his life to lifelong studies and did nothing but spoke about it. People who actually LIVE or practice the righteous deeds are more qualified.
There is a difference between a human being and a mere mouth or a mere brain. Man is supposed to utilize the entire being for fulfilling whatever will help fellowmen find the good life and actually live it. The mouth and brain cannot hide a buldging stomach obviously disclosing lack of physical self-discipline and possibly guilty of gluttony or sloth. Both can however reveal what the heart feels and what is believed to be right. But it cannot fulfil righteousness except by using the other parts of the human body like our hands, feet, and muscles. At best, a retired body should simply retire. Give advices. Pray for forgiveness out of failure to do what the body should have done when it was strong, but failed to do at that time. People in such a stage can only hope to be forgiven for the sins of omission, and not expect to be able to fulfil responsibilities that only a healthy body can perform. Indeed, it will not be easy to find the right leaders.
It is not that utilizing the mind and mouth and heart for good purposes would not make a person aspire for noble goals. There will still be that noble goal. The difference is that of leadership. People living out righteousness with limited human faculties remain righteous but have to admit there will be others more capable in terms of full utilization of the human being.
Leadership by example requires a complete set of human faculties being utilized for the performance of multiple responsibilities in each day.
It ties up with the Wisdom of the Prophet Ben Sirach who said there is no greater wealth than a healthy body. Unfortunately, nowadays, people attempt to cover up for poor health with the power of money in order to utilize other people to perform what they cannot perform due to poor health. If such a cover up is allowed and we consider sick bodies for the position of leadership roles, then we would have majority of such roles being performed from sick beds, hospitals, or from hidden convents. it would actually be a coverup of the truth. Things are easier said than done. But leaders have to show how to actually do what should be aside from teach and pray and hope.
A healthy mind in a healthy body....now what if there is this unhealthy body ? If it does have a healthy mind, the first responsibility of that mind is to make that body healthy first and foremost. Let it impose discipline on his own body first. If that mind cannot make its own body healthy, what do you think ? Can it discipline other bodies to be the way they should be ?
